Apply through personal internet banking

Application Method One: if you are not an IB client, please apply for your IB e-card according to the following steps:

1. Visit the homepage of our website ( www. cib .com.cn ), click on “apply for IB e-card” in the login box of the internet bank.

2. In the application page, click on “I don't have a client ID code for personal internet banking nor an IB account with a password”.

3. Click to agree with IB's rules and agreement, complete the relevant information and submit the application.

4. Within 20 days after submission, you will be required to confirm your identity with the original copy of your identity document at an outlet of the bank to receive your IB e-card (virtual card).

Application Method Two: if you are already an IB client, please apply for your IB e-card according to the following steps:

1. Log onto personal internet banking and enter the “e-card” section.

2. Click on “e-card online application” and select to agree with IB's rules and agreement.

3. Select the account with which you would like to make the e-card application, complete the relevant information and submit your application.

4. After successful application for your e-card (virtual card), the system will display your e-card number and other information.

Application Method Three: if you have a n IB Wealth Management card or passbook account with a password, but haven't applied for personal internet banking, please apply for your e-card according to the following steps:

1. Visit the homepage of our website ( www. cib .com.cn ), click “register” in the login box of personal internet banking to become an internet banking user.

2. Log onto personal internet banking and follow the steps in “Application Method Two” to receive your IB e-card (virtual card).

Application Method Four: if you have a IB credit card account with a password, please apply for your IB e-card according to the following steps:

1. Visit the homepage of our website ( www .cib .com.cn ), click on “apply for IB e-card” in the login box for internet banking; or click on “apply for IB e-card” in the credit card login box.

2. I n the application page, click on “I don't have a client ID code for personal internet banking, but I have an IB credit card account with a password”.

3. Complete the relevant application information including your credit card account information and submit your application.

4. After successful application of IB e-card (virtual card) and the personal internet bank, the system will return IB e-card number and the internet bank client number, etc.

Apply through mobile phone banking

If you have an IB wealth management card or credit card with a password, you can apply for your IB e-card as follows:

1. Visit the mobile phone bank (wap. cib .com.cn) (normal version) or 3g .IB.com.cn ( 3G version) and apply through “Homepage” --> “Business Application” --> “Apply for IB e-card”;

2. After logging onto the mobile phone bank with your login name and the wealth management card number, apply through “Client Management” --> “Apply for IB e-card”;

3. After logging onto the mobile phone bank with the credit card number, apply through “Credit Card” --> “Apply for IB e-card”;

IB e-card physical card application and instructions:

IB e-card can be used in personal internet banking and mobile phone bank as a virtual card alone. Alternatively, a physical card can be requested that can be used in all channels of the bank.

How to apply for IB e-card physical card:

1. Users who apply for their e-card through personal internet banking can choose to apply for a physical card during the application process.

2. Log onto personal internet banking, click on the “Application for e-card physical card” menu in the “e-card” section.

3. Apply for an IB e-card physical card at any outlet with your IB e-card number and proof of identity.

Note: we will send the physical card to the address you provide when applying for the IB e-card. The physical card needs to be activated before it can be used. After receiving the physical card, you can log onto personal internet banking and click on “Confirm Receipt of Physical e-card” in the “e-card” section. You can also activate the physical card at any outlet of the bank.

The Beijing branch doesn't provide e-card physical card application services at present. e -cards applied for at the Beijing branch will not come with a physical card.
